Universidad finito

so...it's all said and done. No more university classes or professors dirty looks for this girl. Very bittersweet!!! Although I'm VERY jealous of most of my friends because it seems like they're all going away on trips of some kind...most are going to Europe. Some to barbados, some to India. Where am I going??? Back to live with the parentals. How exciting, let me tell you...
I wish I could go somewhere, this is the prime time to be doing it. But, considering I'm lacking the funds in a big way, makes it very hard to plan a trip somewhere. Especially somewhere like Europe.
I really want to go though, somewhere, I dont care where, anywhere. Ottawa for all I care!!!
Such a kick in the ass...feeling like a bit of a chump. Don't get me wrong, I'm really excited for everyone and what not. It will be so much fun! I just wish I could be doing it too.
Instead I'm stuck at home in this small hick town...ugh!!!

Work Training

Well...I made it through the week long training for my Ministry job this summer. Some moments were a complete snooze fest, other's were a lot more fun. The new people are pretty cool, can't complain about any of them. The rehash of things learned and done last year were REALLY dull, but they have to be stated again for those new people. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who returned this year because that would have been awkward...plus, I got to learn some things from the other person's experience of last year that was different than mine. Possible things I can get away with this year, maybe?
However, because someone last year completely slacked off and got away with it...apparently they are going to be more watchful of our work. Although, they do a whole lot more considering most of us are located throughout the province and it's pretty hard to keep complete tabs on us. (*kind of a perk, if you will, of the job*).
We got a pretty sweet deal this year too: new Mazda 6s, blackberries, laptops. It's great!!! I feel very important with all this stuff and I'm definitely going to cry when I have to return it all in the fall. *Tear*
Although I'm going to see what I can do about getting a contract in the fall with this Ministry or another one. Considering I have two summer's worth of experience with the government I'd say that's a pretty good 'in' for getting a contract, part-time or full-time. One would hope. I need to start looking ASAP!!!
