- the great power of small things -
A great post on this blog I Stumbled Upon, sometimes it is the little things that matter most in life. Side note: I also like to think this story took place in New York City (my own imagination at work). Goce!

- Just finished making a date with Coldplay July 30th, with my friend. It's gonna be amazing!!
- Discovered Monday night that the Rogers Police DO exist (they aren't just a myth).
- Co-op/contract/full-time jobs are being applied to like crazy...fingers crossed on callbacks.
- School is coming to an end. Only two months left, I'm sad but happy at the same time.
- Summer plans are being made: Nova Scotia, Montreal, Algonquin...wherever else my travels take me.
- Finally done the Harry Potter series!!!!!
- Overwhelmed but excited to start working with Sketchup in CAD class. I'm even a keener and bought the 'For Dummies' book to help me out (for the most part it's completely over my head).
- Car insurance came through and once the payment goes through April 1st I'm insured for another year, minus a very large dent in my bank account. However, on the positive, it's better than not being renewed at all.
- Freshly cut hair, always makes me feel better.
- 2 days until I'm more than a quarter century old. SCARY!
- Pay raise at work, finally!
- In love with my Blackberry, even without data.
- Role Models now one of my fav movies, you have to see it!

Put The Glass Down
Once a professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it. He held it up for all to see and asked the students, “how much do you think this glass weighs? ‘50gms!’?…’100gms…’125gms’….
The students answered, “I really don’t know unless I weigh it.”
The professor said, ‘now, my question is: What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?’
‘Nothing’ the students said.
“OK what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?” the professor asked.
“Your arm would begin to ache” said one of the students.
“You’re right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?”
“Your arm could go numb; you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis; have to go to hospital for sure! Ventured another student”, all the students laughed.
“Very good. But during all this, did the weight of the glass change?” Asked the professor.
“No” was the reply of all the students.
“Then what caused the arm to ache; the muscle to stress?” After a pause the professor asked “Before my arm ache, what should I do?”
The students were puzzled.
“Put the glass down!” said one of the students.
“Exactly!” said the professor, “Life’s problems are exactly like this. Hold it for a few minutes in your head; they seem OK. Think of them for a long time; they begin to ache. Hold it even longer; they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able to do anything.”
It’s important to think of the challenges (problems) in your life, but EVEN MORE IMPORTANT to ‘put them down’ at the end of every day before you go to sleep. That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh; strong; can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!
Remember to put the glass down everyday!

Baldwin Street
Chada Import Gallery
Baldwin Street, Toronto
The nicest people run this little store (with their dog sleeping on the counter for that extra added charm), and you can find any number of things in here. I came out with some earrings and pins. This area of Toronto has now been my most favourite place to be, Baldwin Street has a feel of a small town and looking around you wouldn't have any idea you were in a major metropolitan city. I've only been there once and I can't wait to go back!

My new years resolution (even if a little late!)
Song of the moment:
Rod Stewart - Every Picture Tells A Story
Yes - I've Seen All Good People
Pete Townshend - Let My Love Open The Door
With this positive turn, things have been looking up for me:
1) Won a Wii console.
2) Car insurance was renewed (*phew*)
3) Making friends for life.
4) Doing good deeds.
5) Now the proud owner of a BB. No data, but I love nonetheless!
6) Pay raise at work.
...more things to come this year...
Video below: Talking about the Design Charette I participated in this year for College. Everyone did a fantastic job!!
